In looking at the photos, I realize that the woman dressed in bright red has entered the sequence where Thanasi is about to twirl Maria. I could have digitally removed this woman in red, but I felt it illustrated an interesting point. All day long, people either held back, stared, applauded, cheered, or simply went about their daily lives, oblivious to what we were doing. Isn’t life like that? As we sit in the cafes of Barcelona or Toronto, and watch the people go by, we can be certain that each one of them has their own life story and their own special places to go and friends to see. The woman in red may have been in a hurry to go to work or meet her boyfriend, or she may have been oblivious to it all. We’ll never know but it is fun once in a while to be curious.
